Some boys started early with training at 07.30. Back in we Melbourne visited
Crown Galactic Circus followed by a tour of Melbourne Cricket Ground. The boys saw the
original members stand which was about to be demolished in preparation for the
2006 Commonwealth Games.

Am I losing weight ?
The matches on the second day went pretty much like the first. I
couldn't understand the reason for the Scotch seniors to continue with their
starting seven which was far too strong for us. We still looked tired
after a busy day in town but played very well in the third quarter with good
goals by the Monico boys to the delighted cheers of mum! Rohan should have
got a brace but the open net obviously moved!! 18-2 was an unnecessary
drubbing.
The juniors faced an older and more hostile team second time but still did a
demolition job, winning 9-6. Bryn Powell made some fine saves coupled with
some welsh moments, especially when distributing the ball. In the last
quarter we should have scored another four at least but the woodwork beat us.
Hopefully they will keep up their good work in Adelaide and keep winning.
The boys attitude has been brilliant so far and we have received many
positive compliments. I think they rather like the idea of being hosted.
My biggest problem is two panicking mums who have a touch of exam result fever.
Another stiff drink in Adelaide ought to do the trick.
It was great to catch up with old boy and former water polo captain Jez
Lewison who has made Melbourne his home. He was impressed that we were
touring. Things like that just reconfirm why you do the job!!
