The day started with everyone meeting at Blackfriars at 08.30. The boys went into the Blackfriars "Home Groups" for registration before we departed for Cape Jervis and Kangaroo Island.

We caught the ferry at 12.00 and arrived on Kangaroo Island an hour or so later.

After food (!) we  visited a neareby beach and the boys played football. Some investigated the rocks nearby.

We moved on another 30k or so down an unmade road to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse. The views were amazing.

After the lighthouse we went to a beautiful beach where another impromptu rugby game ensued. On the journey back the boys saw several Kangaroos and Wallabies were seen running along the road.

We then moved on to view the Fairy Penguins at Penneshaw before arriving at the Haskett's shack. Bonfires were lit, the barbeque food was good and a good time was had by all. Camp fire singing including the school song was heard over the hills !

All the boys then slept on the floor of the shack, sleeping bags and mats provided by their hosts.  During the night James Simpson must have dreamt he was shaving because he awoke to find his face covered in shaving cream!
