Rohan collecting the fairest team award

I was delighted when I was asked to get together a junior side for a 6 day tour to Germany. Bedford Water Polo Club have taken an adult Water Polo team to Mannheim every year for 25 years so the junior team was something new. The German team were delighted. We arrived on Thursday afternoon and played our first match that evening against Limon. Our second was on Friday evening against Mannheim.

Over the weekend we were invited to participate in the adult tournament. Our junior side played well against the adult Dutch and German teams and we came away with a trophy. We were thrilled to be awarded the "fairest team" trophy as well.

Our final game was on the Monday against Worms and all of the adult players said we played best. All our players improved greatly over the weekend in different ways.
- Andrew Court contributed greatly playing excellently throughout
- Sarah-Jane Court grew in confidence finishing with scoring against America's over 30's national goalkeeper Mike Ennis.
- Bryce Titman tried 100% all the time and clearly improved.
- Guy Titman improved creating many opportunities for the team.
- Sam Bryant took on board several tactics improving his game.
- James Simpson showed a great game sense always being where needed.
- Adam Monico's speed and finishing won us more than one game.

I was honoured to captain the side and win two of our three scheduled matches against the German junior sides.

We now look forward to our trip to Australia.
